The Link Family Resource Center

Countywide bilingual family advocate services providing support accessing food, housing, clothing, health care, and parent education. Assistance navigating the social services system and linkages to community partners. Immediate services during times of crisis. Advocacy for students and their families to support academic success.

Who do they help? Countywide families with children age 0 – 18, including families struggling with homelessness or housing insecurity. Intensive services for families in North San Luis Obispo County.

San Luis Obispo County Help Me Grow

SLO County Help Me Grow (SLO HMG) provides support with developmental screenings, identifying resources, and providing child development information families. The HMG Family Resource Centers also operate a clothing closet that includes basic needs items. These resources are available to the community.

Parents Helping Parents

Supporting parents and empowering children with special needs to reach their fullest potential.  PHP provides parent education, mutual support, referral networks, and a greater community awareness.

Transitions Mental Health Association

Services and support for individuals with mental health concerns or challenges.  Support groups for families and caregivers.

Pregnancy & Parenting Support of San Luis Obispo County (PPS)

PPS provides bilingual case management, infant development assessments, parent education, car seats and installation and a variety of infant/baby supplies. Low to no cost counseling services for pregnant, postpartum and parenting women are available in partnership with Community Counseling Center (CCC). Case management is provided by PPS staff to compliment the mental health services. Call 805-541-3367 to refer.

Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County (CAPSLO)

Families with children from birth through age 18 can meet basic needs and connect to resources in their community. Programs offer parent education, housing, and homeless services, as well as referrals to helpful resources.
