Caring for a loved one with a cognitive disorder or another disabling condition forever changes the lives of family and caregivers. There can be devastating effects on those providing long-term care at home: financial pressures, legal quandaries, health problems, and emotional turmoil. Coast Caregiver has resources and support groups that can assist families in their time of need. Support group meetings are held in a variety of venues in the Tri-Counties and offered at no charge. This support group is a potluck with Family Ties supplying the “main dish”.

Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence-based, community health program that helps transform the lives of vulnerable mothers pregnant with their first child. Each mother served by NFP is partnered with a registered nurse early in her pregnancy and receives ongoing nurse home visits that continue through her child’s second birthday. Independent research proves that communities benefit from this relationship — every dollar invested in Nurse- Family Partnership can yield more than five dollars in return.

This unique bereavement support group provides friendship and support to those who have experienced the loss of a child of any age (including a lost pregnancy). The group is organized & led by parents who they themselves have lost a child.
