Born Learning, a program of United Way of San Luis Obispo County,  is an educational outreach program designed to help parents, grandparents and caregivers be their child’s first teacher. By turning everyday moments into fun learning opportunities, adults can help children learn, setting the stage for future success in school and life. Children’s Home Society of California has created a series of Family Education brochures to assist parents and other caregivers with common parenting concerns. The informational brochures cover topics such as: Communication, Positive Discipline, Managing Anger, Special Needs-Information for Parents, and are available free of charge in English, Khmer, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
