When Parenting, Traumatized Children Gets Real
The unique challenges caregivers face from living in the trenches.
Facilitator will talk about personal challenges living with, raising, and parenting foster youth.
An open and transparent conversation will be held about challenges of loving and being a parent of these unique youth. Practical solutions will be exchanged in a supportive environment with parents who know and understand
This class is appropriate for parents of any children who have experienced trauma including foster and adopted youth.

Facilitated by: Heather Anderson, LMFT who uses her professional back ground as a therapist and social worker. She is also an adoptive parent to two local previous foster youth with trauma histories.
