CHILD DEVELOPMENT RESOURCE CENTER OF THE CENTRAL COAST
The Child Development Resource Center of the Central Coast is a nonprofit organization located in San Luis Obispo, dedicated to providing child development and therapeutic services to strengthen families regardless of income or situation. With a professional staff of teachers, therapists, and administrators, CDRC supports family involvement and school readiness. Core components include: therapeutic interventions, case management with referrals to other agencies to access essential community services, parent education and advocacy to expand parents’ capabilities and to foster the best possible development of all family members.
In addition to full-day childcare and a therapy program for children ages 2 to 5, CDRC provides a school readiness/transition program for children entering kindergarten. The childcare program is divided into three classrooms: toddler, preschool and Pre-Kindergarten. The professional staff provides family counseling, group & individual play therapy for children, and a child nutrition program (providing 80% of each child’s daily nutritional needs).
