OPERATION SCHOOL BELL (SCHOOL CLOTHES FOR CHILDREN, K-12th GRADE)
Operation School Bell is one of the six philanthropic programs put on by the Assistant League of San Luis Obispo. This program provides new, free clothing to school children who are in need in SLO county. Specifically those in Kindergarten to 12th grade. Families may call for an appointment starting in August of each school year.
All shopping is done at a retail store, one in the North County and one in the South County. The children can choose the clothing themselves, getting a proper fit is guaranteed in a store, and the children return to school wearing the same clothes as their peers.
